Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Stream at South Western Sydney Local Health District.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Work in a dynamic environment with an integrated framework that incorporates outpatient clinics, elective procedures, and complex emergency care.
  • Contribute to ongoing service improvement, evidence-based reform, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen coordination across facilities and surgical subspecialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with relevant clinical guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practice protocols.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with current evidence-based practice and advancements in nursing care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Experience in a relevant clinical specialty, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective engagement with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills.
