Job Description:

This role requires a motivated and experienced teacher to join our Allied Health Business Area. As a Teacher - First Aid, your key responsibilities include planning education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners.

Key responsibilities include ensuring teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages, and related requirements. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment, encouraging students to take responsibility for their own learning, adapting learning and assessment materials to cater for different students, learning environments, facilities, and resources, and undertaking a range of administrative, coordination, and learning services activities directly related to the areas taught.

You will also assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs and maintain a respectful, safe environment free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select, and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools. Qualifications required for the role include Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent), vocational qualifications at AQF level 3 such as Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma, vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience from a First Aid, Aquatic, Recreation background, registration with relevant professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline, a record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver, and a record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge.
