The Opportunity

We have a great career opportunity available for a Workshop Supervisor to join our highly professional and skilled team of HV Technicians working on a major mining infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced Diesel Fitters to ensure efficient repair and maintenance of earthmoving plant, equipment, and light vehicles.
  • Coordinate daily activities to optimize workshop operations and meet project deadlines.
  • Provide technical expertise to project teams and basic service training to plant operators as required.
  • Expedite and coordinate emergency, delayed, or potentially delayed repair and maintenance jobs.
  • Carry out lockout and tag-out systems in accordance with legislative requirements and company policy.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Trade Qualification – Heavy Plant
  • Proven experience in servicing and repairing Heavy Plant, Mechanical and Electrical processes
  • Clear understanding of excellence in customer service
  • Proven management skills, practices, and planning ability
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Office applications
  • Highly effective planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate, and influence others
