Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Caregiver Specialist to join our team. As a Caregiver Specialist, you will provide essential care and support services to individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for providing personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with medication administration as per the client's needs.
  • You will assist clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring they receive nutritious meals.
  • Support clients in developing life skills and achieving their goals, promoting independence and self-reliance.
  • Transport clients to appointments, shopping, and social events, enhancing their overall quality of life.
  • Promote community engagement and social inclusion by facilitating interactions with others.
  • Document progress notes and records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

  • A valid Right to Work document is required.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a Disability Support Worker is preferred.
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or above is mandatory.
  • Experience working with complex clients who have behavioral issues is highly valued.
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
  • A First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate are necessary.
  • A Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
  • Comprehensive car insurance is a must.

Working Conditions:

  • Ongoing shifts, including morning, afternoon, and sleepover/active nights.
  • Morning shift: 7am - 1pm.
  • Afternoon shift: 1pm - 7pm.
  • Sleepover/Active nights: 7pm - 7am, 9pm - 7am.
