Electrical Instrumentation Design Expert

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop E&I schematics, terminations, general arrangements, single lines & communications block diagrams.
  • Produce 3D models and detailed engineering drawings from concept through to detailed design.
  • Provide technical input and design support to project teams.
  • Apply and promote safe design practices across all design stages.
  • Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Support project delivery by managing timelines and design efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical instrumentation design with the ability to work on complex mining and industrial projects. They should have advanced knowledge of 3D design tools such as AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks, and experience in mining and heavy industry is highly regarded. A minimum of 7 years' experience in a design, consultancy, or operational environment is required along with leadership experience or the ability to step into a lead role. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in electrical instrumentation design.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a design, consultancy, or operational environment.
  • Proficiency in 3D design tools such as AutoCAD, Advance Steel, Navisworks.
  • Experience in mining and heavy industry (highly regarded).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Leadership experience or the ability and interest to step into a lead role.
