Senior Stable Manager Position

This is a key full-time role within the horse racing stable, reporting to the Trainer and Assistant Trainer. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining accurate records.

Job Description:
  • The Senior Stable Manager will oversee the smooth operation of the stable complex, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • They will be responsible for managing staff under the guidance of the Assistant Trainer, coordinating morning runs, and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feed Management: The Senior Stable Manager will be responsible for overseeing feed management, ensuring that all horses receive the correct diet and nutrition.
  • Horse Welfare: They will be responsible for monitoring the welfare of all horses in the stable, including their health and well-being.
  • Post-Work Care: The Senior Stable Manager will ensure that all horses receive the necessary post-work care, including veterinary checks and treatment as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to gain a truck licence (if possible)
  • Capacity to work in a team environment
