Financial Controller Job Description

Join our dynamic finance team as a key partner in driving financial excellence and supporting our company's growth. This exciting opportunity is based in Sydney and offers a maximum term full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Monitor and manage daily cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital optimisation across all business units.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and coordinate external audit processes while maintaining internal controls.
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering professional development and high-performance standards.
Requirements:
  • CA/CPA qualification with 5+ years of financial controller or senior finance experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Expert-level Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
