About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse/Midwife to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team at the Women's and Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centered and clinical nursing/midwifery care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Monitor patient care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved
  • Participate in clinical teaching, mentoring, and goal setting for students, new staff, and staff with less experience
  • Contribute to clinical auditing, research, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate services, including those from other disciplines
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Working experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full-time equivalent, post-registration experience
  • Meet the criteria as outlined in the Key Result Area and responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse/Midwife role description
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing and/or midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice
  • Ability to be creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting
