Job Title: Family Support Specialist

    In this role, you will work closely with extended family members or close family friends who are caring for children outside of their immediate family. Your primary goal will be to ensure these children receive the love, care, and stability they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of each family's unique situation and develop tailored support plans
  • Provide ongoing case management and crisis intervention to help families navigate challenging circumstances
  • Facilitate family meetings and mediate difficult conversations to promote open communication and understanding
  • Connect families with local resources and support services to aid in their well-being and development
  • Maintain detailed documentation and compliance standards to ensure the highest level of service delivery

Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

  • Current Working with Children Check and driver's license
