Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of nursing and midwifery professionals in shaping the future of healthcare education. As a visionary academic leader, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and academic guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing and midwifery programs.

You will have the opportunity to drive innovation in curriculum design, teaching, and research, and mentor and support academic staff and students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be based at our cutting-edge clinical teaching facilities in Townsville or Cairns, where they will work closely with healthcare providers, industry, and community organizations to build strong partnerships and champion outcomes that improve healthcare in regional, rural, and remote communities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A postgraduate qualification and current registration as a Nurse (Division 1) and/or Midwife with AHPRA
  • Proven academic leadership experience in teaching, research, and service
  • A commitment to excellence in nursing and midwifery education
  • A collaborative mindset and a drive to mentor others and foster innovation
  • A desire to make a meaningful difference through education and research
