Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Power Engineering team in delivering exceptional customer-focused service with a value-driven approach. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of high-performing team leadership, effective communication, and strategic vision translation into day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the team with expertise and accountability.
  • Coach and develop team members through clear goals, development plans, and ongoing feedback.
  • Translate strategic vision into operational excellence across power assets.
  • Guide the team in lifecycle asset management, performance reporting, and best-practice maintenance strategies.
  • Oversee specialist engineering support, including investigations, troubleshooting, risk assessments, and asset design input.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to drive value-added outcomes for customers and communities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, with eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in the Energy and Power industry, particularly in operation and maintenance of power stations or similar assets.
  • Strong leadership capability, with proven ability to build and guide high-performing teams and prioritize work based on risk and business needs.
  • Sound knowledge of Australian and international engineering codes, statutory requirements, and environmental and health & safety legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engineering services and asset performance improvements to optimize business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience in scope development, vendor engagement, and risk management.
