Cloud Operations Leadership Opportunity

Join a dynamic organization to drive the Cloud Operations function for secure, sovereign cloud platforms serving high-stakes clients.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead technical operations across cloud infrastructure and services, implementing ITIL-based processes and frameworks, shaping and scaling a high-performing operations team, driving continuous improvement of service delivery, vendor management, and platform modernization.

As a leader in this role, you will oversee service management across our OpenStack cloud environment, championing service excellence in a high-consequence environment. You will also be responsible for leading and managing a technical operations team, providing technical leadership in service operations through ITIL, aligning with core values, and adding positive value to the organization's culture.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading a technical operations team and delivering high performance, strong leadership skills, and ability to drive ITIL-based service operations. Experience in a high-security or defence-related context is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical operations across cloud infrastructure and services
  • Implement, uplift, and mature ITIL-based processes and frameworks
  • Shape and scale a high-performing operations team (Infrastructure, Network, Applications)
  • Drive continuous improvement of service delivery, vendor management, and platform modernization
  • Oversee service management across our OpenStack cloud environment
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Australian Government security clearance
  • Proven experience leading a technical operations team and delivering high performance
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive ITIL-based service operations
  • Experience in a high-security or defence-related context is desirable
