About the Role
  • Lead the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payment in line with Awards, Agreements, and legislation.
  • Manage, maintain, and enhance payroll systems, including SAP, KRONOS, and SuccessFactors, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and end-of-financial-year processes, delivering accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and regional collaboration through forums, technical upgrades, and best practice sharing.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff and managers on payroll-related matters, ensuring compliance and service excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Extensive senior-level payroll management experience, particularly in multi-site or regional operations.
  • Strong expertise in payroll compliance, including interpretation and application of Awards, Agreements, and industrial relations legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead payroll teams, with a focus on staff development, performance management, and maintaining internal controls to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Proficient in payroll systems and advanced excel, with track record of managing audits, reconciliations, and detailed reporting.
  • Skilled in driving payroll systems implementations and process improvements, with excellent organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
