About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Operations Manager to lead our front-of-house service team at Mary Mae's, a newly renovated and highly regarded waterfront venue in Brisbane. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing daily venue operations and overseeing all our spectacular events, including group bookings, cocktail parties, corporate gatherings, and weddings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Operations Management: Oversee event operations from setup to pack down, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional client and guest experiences.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of hospitality superstars, providing guidance, support, and motivation to deliver outstanding results.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with the sales manager, kitchen, and venue manager to ensure effective communication and coordination across all aspects of venue operations.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue by running shifts and exceeding guest expectations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Guest Experience: Deliver exceptional client and guest experiences across diverse events and daily operations, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive hospitality experience, from coffee to cocktails, with a strong background in venue and events management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent in time management and administration.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Availability: Flexible availability, including nights and weekends, with a minimum of two years in a similar role.
