Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Midwife to join our team at the Maternity Unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care for women and neonates, with a range of full and part-time roles available.

The Maternity Services Unit consists of various departments, including Antenatal/Postnatal Inpatient Unit, Birth Suite, Special Care Nursery, Antenatal service, Domiciliary postnatal care and breastfeeding support, In vitro fertilisation (IVF) services, Midwifery Group Practice, Early pregnancy services, and Antenatal education.

Our Midwives work collaboratively to provide woman-centred care, with opportunities to rotate through all areas of the Maternity Services.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality midwifery care to women and neonates
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and the community
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in midwifery practice
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and research

Requirements:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
  • Minimum of 1 year postgraduate midwifery experience
  • Excellent clinical skills, communication, and organisational abilities
