Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our projects team on a FIFO basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assembly, testing, repairs and maintenance to plant and equipment on site.

The ideal candidate will have relevant trade qualifications and experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs, as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake maintenance and repair of equipment on site.
  • Perform engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicing.
  • Inspect and assess fleet for damage, ensuring accurate recording of servicing information and other documentation.
  • Connect and test pumping equipment, including mine site dewatering.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and champion the company brand while on site.
Requirements:
  • C-class driver's license.
  • Relevant Trade Certificate - Mechanical/Engineering (or similar).
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience in electric pump repairs, pump & system installations, diagnostics, duty testing, well point installation.
  • Ability to read, interpret and record pressure gauge readings.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with limited direction.
