About the Role:

This is a pivotal position where your leadership will directly impact business performance, team culture and customer satisfaction. You'll be managing a team of Sales Representatives, working closely with key customers and national suppliers, introducing new products, leading events and staying on top of foodservice trends.

  • You'll be responsible for planning and implementing strategies to achieve sales KPIs and branch budgets
  • Managing, mentoring and developing a team of Sales Representatives
  • Monitoring team performance, providing coaching and support where needed
  • Developing pricing and margin strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Maintaining and growing key customer relationships
  • Leading engagement with key suppliers and overseeing product introduction
  • Staying ahead of market and food trends to ensure a competitive edge
  • Collaborating with procurement to manage supply into the branch
  • Organising and executing sales and supplier events

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or Senior Sales Representative in food distribution or FMCG
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team
  • Strong commercial acumen – confident with margins, pricing, budgets and reporting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficient organisational and managerial capabilities
  • High level of computer literacy – quick to learn internal systems
  • Experience working with key customers and large-scale suppliers
  • Ability to lead cultural initiatives and foster a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Professional personal presentation and high standards of integrity
