Job Opportunity

Establish a strategic framework to drive growth and development in Shellharbour.

This senior leadership role involves leading the City's strategic planning and environment functions to deliver the community's long-term vision.

You will be responsible for delivering high-profile planning and design initiatives to ensure that the City can leverage growth and investment in infrastructure.

About the Role

  1. Lead a large, multi-disciplinary team to establish a clear strategic framework for the City, ensuring growth and development reflects the unique characteristics of Shellharbour and meets current and future needs of the community and environment.
  2. Develop and implement Council's long-term land use planning framework and environmental management programs, including initiatives to achieve operational and community net zero emissions targets.
  3. Be part of Council's Senior Leadership Team; manage preparation of reports and submissions to Council; oversee policy, compliance and budget items across the group.
  4. Shape sustainable growth and development with a focus on balancing economic, social and environmental priorities.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • A passionate leader able to work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure successful integration of strategic and operational planning activities.
  • High-level communication skills to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive industry experience to champion environmental outcomes.
