Cloud Security Incident Response Specialist

This is a pivotal role in guiding solutions, services, and project initiatives within AWS and Azure environments.

As a senior analyst specialising in cloud security, you will play a crucial part in formulating incident response strategies and providing expert advice on best practice approaches for monitoring and managing cyber control hygiene in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use advanced cybersecurity tools to gather information and conduct thorough investigations within the Group's public cloud environment.
  • Determine effective ways to detect, prevent, and isolate suspicious activity in the cloud.
  • Document methods for identifying and addressing potential security risks and vulnerabilities in cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with the CDO team to respond to and remediate incidents related to cloud workloads.
  • Review security controls in affected cloud environment(s) to identify gaps and provide input into post-incident reporting.
  • Work closely with the CEE team to maintain and enhance the security posture of the public cloud environment.
  • Stay informed about emerging security technologies and trends, and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risks and improve overall security.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in cloud security with a focus on AWS and Azure solutions and services.
  • Proven experience working in a similar role, managing complex cloud security and incident response projects.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Cloud security certifications like AWS Certified Security Specialty are also beneficial.
