Job Overview:

Senior Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting and advisory firm based in Melbourne. This role combines compliance work with a strong business advisory component, ideal for someone who enjoys working with corporate clients.

The successful candidate will have 5 years of experience in public practice, with a strong compliance background and the ability to engage with clients and step into an advisory space. They will also be confident in reviewing others' work and helping to manage workflow.

Familiarity with Xero, XPM, and FYI Docs is preferred but not essential. We offer flexible working arrangements, including two days of remote work per week after completing probation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and reviewing compliance work for companies and trusts
  • Liaising with clients over phone and email for ongoing relationship support
  • Assisting with tax planning, structuring, and advisory work alongside senior team members
  • General client management, queries, and ongoing relationship support
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in a public practice accounting firm
  • Strong compliance background, especially with companies and trusts
  • Desire to engage more with clients and step into an advisory space
  • Confidence in reviewing others' work and helping to manage workflow
Flexible Working Arrangements:

We offer two days of remote work per week after completing probation. Our team is structured to support hybrid work, with solid systems in place to ensure smooth operations.
