Occupational Therapist Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced occupational therapist to join our dynamic team. As an occupational therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions and supporting them to reach their full potential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of participants, delivering timely and effective therapeutic services
  • Assess participants' developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
  • Mentor and nurture early career clinicians
  • Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Occupational Therapists
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
