This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced airport manager to oversee the daily operations of a remote regional airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the airport's day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining a high level of professionalism and safety standards.
About the Role- Manage airport operations and facilities
- Perform Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) duties
- Maintain Ground Service Equipment (GSE)
- Ensure compliance with CASA regulations and MOS 139
- Manage third-party suppliers including fuel providers
- Coordinate training records for airport staff
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the terminal and surrounding areas
- Uphold safety, security, OH&S, and environmental compliance
- Respond to incidents and report via Alliance's AQD system
- Perform airport manual controller responsibilities
- Act as primary contact during audits, inspections, and emergency exercises
- Prior airport management or ARO experience at an Australian airport
- Current ARO, AROC, and DG certifications
- Knowledge of CASA regulations and MOS 139
- Proven ability to manage teams and third-party suppliers
- Strong communication, time management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and compliance
- Physically fit – Able to pass a mine site medical and undergo regular Drug and Alcohol testing
- Willing to work in extreme conditions – extreme heat
- Computer literacy and record-keeping skills
- Full on-site training – Remote Airport Operations and ARO functions
