**Your Mission**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Environmental Field Officer to join our well-established team of technicians covering a 7 days a week, 365 days a year roster. This role involves collecting environmental dust and water samples, performing minor maintenance of instrumentation, and analysing samples in the laboratory.

You will need to demonstrate strong field-based skills to monitor, calibrate, maintain, and sample environmental dust and water. The role requires good analytical skills to conduct basic analysis in the laboratory and exposure to various sampling technologies, analytical equipment, and monitoring sites.

  • Collect and analyse environmental dust and water samples.
  • Perform minor maintenance of instrumentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain equipment.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (TAFE certificate/diploma or equivalent) or previous related experience.
  • A strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) with relevant mining and industry standards.
  • Sound computer literacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team.
  • Precise and accurate record-keeping skills.
  • 4WD driving experience and long-distance travel capabilities.
