As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of our laboratory services. We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team in a Biological Safety Level (BSL) 1 or 2 laboratory.

">Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to support our lab operations. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, logging, inventorying, and labeling samples and reagents, as well as maintaining chain of custody and verifying delivery/shipment conditions.

">Main Responsibilities:
  • Receiving, logging, inventorying, and labeling samples and reagents per SOPs and LIMS
  • Maintaining chain of custody and verifying delivery/shipment conditions, reporting discrepancies
  • Preparing shipments and executing/documenting sample destruction
  • Supporting lab operations: sample preparation e.g., cell isolation from blood samples, cryopreservation, thawing, and counting
">Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Diploma in Laboratory Sciences and at least one year of experience in a laboratory. Experience working in a biological safety cabinet under sterile conditions is also an asset. Additionally, you should have good record keeping skills and attention to detail.

">Working Conditions:

This is a full-time onsite position with a fixed schedule of Tuesday to Saturday shift from 9:00AM to 17:00 PM. You must be willing to perform activities in a BSL 1 or 2 laboratory where biological samples may be either naturally or experimentally infected with potentially hazardous viruses.
