Job Title: Calibration Specialist

Description

This position plays a pivotal role in the daily lab operations, ensuring adherence to NATA standards and ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a NATA-accredited lab or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily lab operations, focusing on compliance and quality control.
  • Supervise and mentor technicians to enhance performance and development.
  • Manage workflow effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards.
  • Review calibration reports and uncertainty data for accuracy and precision.
  • Drive process improvements and update procedures as needed.
  • Liaise with internal teams and clients on technical and scheduling matters.
  • Assist with audits and contribute to Quality Management System enhancements.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a NATA-accredited lab or similar.
  • Solid knowledge of calibration, measurement, and uncertainty principles.
  • Certificate III or higher in electronics, science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring in a technical setting.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity, and organisational skills.
