Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Religious Education Teacher to join our team at St Luke's, Marsden Park. This is a full-time, permanent position with negotiable start date commencing Term 4, 2024 or Term 1, 2025.

About the Role:

This exciting opportunity involves teaching Stage 6 Studies of Religion or other HSC subjects in a secondary school setting. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to design inquiry-based learning experiences that foster student growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Evangelising Mission: Assist in implementing the Catholic education mission and values within the classroom and school community.
  • Ongoing Professional Learning: Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Inquiry-Based Learning: Design engaging lessons that cater to diverse student needs and promote critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Digital Technology Integration: Leverage technology to enhance student learning outcomes and teacher efficiency.
  • Data-Informed Instruction: Use diagnostic, summative, and formative data to inform teaching strategies and improve student progress.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with colleagues to share ideas, resources, and best practices, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Professional Growth: Engage in regular professional development opportunities to refine teaching skills and stay current with industry trends.
  • Qualifications and Accreditations: Hold a valid Working with Children Check clearance, meet NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) eligibility requirements, and possess a tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree).
