Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Educational Support Specialist to join our Learning Enrichment Team for a 12-month maternity leave cover. This role is responsible for providing evidence-based intervention programs, including MultiLit and other structured literacy and numeracy support programs, to students in need.

About the Role

This position involves working closely with students to improve foundational skills, helping them reach targeted academic milestones, and supporting classroom teachers by providing additional attention to students needing guidance.

You will work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and ensure they understand key concepts. Your expertise will be invaluable in fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment.

You will also communicate regularly with teachers and the Head of Learning Enrichment K-12 to share observations, update on student progress, and adapt interventions as necessary.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require an active Christian faith, suitable qualification and NESA accreditation (or eligibility), and the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes.

You will also need to demonstrate excellent teaching skills, as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers, and be able to receive feedback on your teaching and implement changes.

In addition, you will be able to effectively plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based intervention programs to students in need.
  • Work closely with students to improve foundational skills and help them reach targeted academic milestones.
  • Support classroom teachers by providing additional attention to students needing guidance.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and the Head of Learning Enrichment K-12.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices for student support.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
