Aboriginal Health Specialist

This position requires a dedicated professional to provide cultural guidance, advocacy and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients accessing mental health services.
As a key member of our Cultural Assessment and Liaison Team, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver culturally appropriate mental health care to our clients. This includes:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and interventions that take into account the client's cultural background and needs;
- Developing and implementing culturally sensitive treatment plans;
- Advocating for clients within the healthcare system;
- Building relationships with community groups and other stakeholders to promote the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Provide expert cultural guidance and support to clients and their families;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of culturally appropriate mental health programs and services;
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes for clients;
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
- Certificate IV or Diploma in relevant health fields;
- Blue Card and Class C Driver's Licence are required;
- Mandatory qualifications and registration requirements must be met as per the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
