Child Protection Care Specialist

The Child Protection Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, crisis support, and case management services to children, young people, and adults accessing the service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing specialist tertiary level therapeutic and case management services to children, young people, and their parents/caregivers who have been in contact with the statutory child protection system or who are under the age of 10 years and are referred with problematic and sexually harmful sexual behaviours.
- Working as part of a diverse team demonstrating CORE values while providing exceptional person-centered care.
Requirements include:
A degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the Australia Association of Social Workers, or a degree in Psychology with full registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, or a Bachelor's Degree in Counselling or Welfare from a recognised and accepted education provider as deemed appropriate by the employer.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate high-level understanding of the dynamics, intersection, and effects of child abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, and domestic and family violence.
