Medical Specialist Opportunities in Tropical Paradise

We are seeking a highly skilled Nephrology Staff Specialist to join our team at the North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service (NQKTS).
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering service dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art kidney transplantation to patients across a vast catchment area in Northern Queensland.
Responsibilities- Contributing clinically to the organisation's management and provision of comprehensive kidney transplant services, including providing kidney transplant outreach services, education, and training support.
- Assisting with the organisation's management and provision of Nephrology services at the University Hospital.
- Providing specialist professional leadership to medical staff within the department, and being an active contributor to the multidisciplinary patient care team.
- Supporting the Clinical Directors of Kidney Transplant and Nephrology to provide quality leadership based on evidence-based practices and ensuring adequate communication to all stakeholders along the patient's continuum of care.
We are looking for a highly experienced Nephrology Specialist who holds specialist registration with AHPRA or is eligible to hold. Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent acceptable to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and registrable as a specialist in Nephrology with the Medical Board of Australia is also essential.
What We OfferAn attractive relocation package valued up to $536,916 per annum, comprising:
- A salary range of $210,332 to $266,677 per annum (L18-L27)
- Four weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance (35%-50% base salary)
- Regional and rural attraction allowance (5% base salary)
- Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 per annum
- Professional development allowance of $21,500 per annum + 3.6 weeks per annum leave
