Alcohol and Drug Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team, providing alcohol and drug treatment and support to clients.

About the Role:

This permanent full-time position involves working 76 hours per fortnight, with a focus on delivering excellence in healthcare and achieving improved outcomes for consumers, workforce, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practices used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and other drug dependence
  • Knowledge of and ability to undertake comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions with complex AOD issues
  • Development, monitoring, and implementation of quality assurance and improvement activities and/or research
  • Provide Pharmacotherapy treatment and harm minimisation advice as part of the MDT process

Essential Criteria:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Desirable Criteria:

  • Completed or working towards postgraduate qualifications in AOD
  • Current Driver's Licence
