About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Creative Technologist to join our team at Canva. As a key member of our Creative Technology Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative digital experiences that showcase the power of Canva's technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Designers and Researchers to explore and implement user experiences that leverage Canva's technical stack and AI Research projects.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality interactive experiences using front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on React.
  • Partner with Engineers to build out testing capabilities and ensure work can be translated into production.
  • Mentor more junior Creative Technologists and contribute to the growth and development of the Creative Technology subspecialty.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in creative and tech.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience with front-end technologies for prototyping (HTML, CSS, JS + React)
  • Experience collaborating with designers, engineers, researchers, and non-technical stakeholders to drive solutions that synthesize product, design, and technical requirements.
  • Aptitude and desire to pick up new technologies, play around with them, and find unique ways to use them.
  • A portfolio of interaction design work built-in front-end technologies.
