We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedics Ward team at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with legislation and hospital policies.
- Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supervise and direct nursing team members to deliver patient care.
- Proactively assess and improve perioperative nursing care to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Complete all required documentation in accordance with local and national policies.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-registration experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in an acute surgical setting, preferably in Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, or Neurosurgery.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team and advocate for individualized patient-centered care.
- Advanced communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility to work a seven-day roster, including night duty.
