Steel Project Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Steel Project Manager to lead our projects from initiation to closure.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, steel industry knowledge, and excellent leadership skills. They will be responsible for developing and executing project plans, timelines, and budgets, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, QA teams, and management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and variations, proactively addressing challenges to keep projects on track.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of engineering or Bachelor of Project Management or similar.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a project management role in the Australian steel industry.
  • Proven experience in preparing OHS, quality documentation for fabrication and erection, including ITPs, SWMS, and lift methodologies.
  • Excellent reporting skills to enable timely reporting to management and client.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Aconex and Xero.
  • Proficient in executing contractual obligations and technical requirements.
  • Advanced Excel applications.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
