Residential Mortgage Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of underwriting experience in the residential mortgage sector, with a focus on non-conforming mortgages.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive analysis of mortgage applications
- Manage lending delegations up to $2.5m
- Mentor and support junior underwriters
- Build strong relationships with brokers and customers
- Provide scenario assistance to Business Development Managers and Brokers
- Deep understanding of relevant regulatory requirements
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a strong sense of initiative
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Technical understanding of underwriting and ability to communicate complex information effectively
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive business growth
