APS5 Claims Manager Role Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

The APS5 Claims Manager will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of claims, engaging with claimants, employer representatives, and medical/treatment providers to achieve positive health and return to work outcomes.

The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and implement effective claims management strategies, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and analyze and report on claims data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of a portfolio of claims, including engagement with claimants, employer representatives, and medical/treatment providers
  • Development and implementation of effective claims management strategies to achieve positive health and return to work outcomes
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including injury managers and employer account managers, to achieve shared goals
  • Analysis and reporting of claims data to inform business decisions and improve outcomes
  • Adherence to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice
Eligibility and Conditions:
  • Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check)
  • Employee Health Declaration
  • Six months probationary period for new engagements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Flexible working arrangements (FWA) may be available in this role, subject to operational requirements and WHS risks
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Desirable: Certificates or competencies in relevant disciplines such as claims or injury management, law, health, business administration, or finance
