We are seeking a Community Development Officer to inspire connection and drive purpose in a thriving community.
This role will play a central part in creating a warm, inclusive, and joyful community at Macarthur Gardens Village. You will design and deliver engaging programs that promote social connection, wellbeing, and belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement monthly calendars of activities and wellbeing initiatives
- Coordinate events to foster community connection and resident engagement
- Support residents by linking them to relevant services and resources
- Maintain accurate wellbeing records and assist with care planning
- Build partnerships with local groups to enhance village life
- Conduct regular checks of medical alert systems to ensure safety
Requirements:
- A warm, empathetic approach and genuine care for older people
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health and a current First Aid Certificate are highly regarded
- Experience in lifestyle, wellbeing, or community-based programs is beneficial
