Join a dynamic team of professionals in the Defence sector as we seek an accomplished Testing and Evaluation Lead to embark on a 12-month contract in Adelaide.

About the Role

The successful candidate will report directly to the JORN Systems Engineering Lead, overseeing Commonwealth Test & Evaluation activities for Mission Systems and Support Systems. This role demands expertise in planning, developing, and executing test and evaluation strategies to ensure compliance with departmental, regulatory, and legislated requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the JORN T&E program, guaranteeing that JORN capabilities meet functional and performance standards.
  2. Conduct comprehensive T&E planning, contributing to an integrated schedule of JORN Systems Team activities across the T&E lifecycle.
  3. Synchronise Commonwealth T&E activities with Contractor T&E activities to maximise efficiency and optimise data usage.
  4. Oversee Engineering Support Contractor activities related to the Commonwealth T&E program, including the development of technical specifications.
  5. Undertake verification, validation, and testing activities to achieve agreed priorities and outcomes.
  6. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Prime System Engineers, Commonwealth Systems Engineers, IDSTG, 1RSU, and other Department of Defence stakeholders.

  • Hardware Engineering-Level 3
  • Software Engineering-Level 3
  • Systems Engineering and Integration-Level 3
  • Test and Evaluation-Level 3
  • Superior understanding of Defence T&E Policies
  • Bachelor Degree-Engineering
  • Compliance with ITAR requirements essential
  • Eligibility for Chartered Status (CPEng, NER, Engineer IntPE (Aus))
  • N1 Clearance mandatory

  • HF/OTHR Systems-Level 2
