We are seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing leader to join our team as the Director of Nursing and Midwifery. This role offers a unique opportunity for a passionate individual who is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare services in a remote setting.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, governance, and direction for the Kangaroo Island Health Service. As part of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network, we offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including emergency, acute inpatient, surgical, maternal and neonatal, outpatient, mental health, and community care.

Key Responsibilities- To lead and manage the nursing and midwifery teams at the Kangaroo Island Health Service, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- To develop and implement strategies that align with the network's vision and goals, focusing on contemporary models of care and sustainable workforce development.
- To collaborate with stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and community members, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- To oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote safe and effective practice.
