Food Service Assistant Role

Support the catering team as a Food Service Assistant to deliver high-quality meals prepared by our Chef. This is a permanent part-time position with shifts scheduled across a fortnightly roster.

About the Position

As a Food Service Assistant, you will provide healthy, hearty, and delicious meals that meet individual needs. You will assist the Chef and team to prepare daily meals and beverages for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare meals according to menus and residents' requirements, ensuring familiarity with food safety practices.
  • Work with the care team to plate and deliver meals, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Complete cleaning tasks according to the schedule, filling in sign-off sheets as required.
  • Document residents' requirements and any exceptional changes occurring during the shift.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in food preparation and handling.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and WH&S protocols.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Ability to operate standard domestic equipment.
