Operational Risk and Controls Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to drive business value through effective operational risk management. You will help Australian businesses create value by improving their end-to-end processes and systems.

We are looking for someone with expertise in operational risk and controls, particularly in the wealth management industry. Your responsibilities will include reviewing design and operation of end-to-end business processes and systems, analyzing and documenting risk management frameworks, internal controls, and control environments.

You will also identify current and emerging risks, raise issues with line management, develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders, manage large project engagements, and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review design and operation of end-to-end business processes and systems.
  • Analyze and document risk management frameworks, internal controls, and control environments.
  • Anticipate and identify current and emerging risks and raise issues with line management.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage large project engagements.
  • Report on the efficiency and effectiveness of risk management and control frameworks.
Requirements
  • Financial services experience, including technology risk and controls environments.
  • Sound understanding of the wealth management value chain.
