Advanced Pharmacy Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our registered pharmacists to provide advanced pharmacy services to patients with variable health literacy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy and be able to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. You will also be responsible for maintaining high-level knowledge of pharmacy funding arrangements, clinical trials management, good manufacturing practice, and Australian pharmacy professional standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced knowledge in pharmacy to provide quality care to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain high-level knowledge of pharmacy funding arrangements, clinical trials management, good manufacturing practice, and Australian pharmacy professional standards and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background in pharmacy, including knowledge of the healthcare system, advanced computer literacy, medical terminology, and general medical conditions.
  • Effective communication, supervision, and liaison skills.
  • Ability to initiate, plan, perform, and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of a registered pharmacist.
  • High-level knowledge of pharmacy funding arrangements, clinical trials management, good manufacturing practice, and Australian pharmacy professional standards and guidelines.
