**Job Overview**

This role involves operating water and sewer systems in accordance with established procedures and the requirements of council's pollution control licenses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating water and sewer systems in accordance with established procedures and the requirements of council's pollution control licenses.
  • Implementing maintenance and asset renewal systems for water supply reticulation and/or sewer collection and transport systems.
  • Construction of water and sewer infrastructure in accordance with detailed designs and industry standards.
  • Coordinating and supervising the tasks of Water and Sewer Assistant Operators.

Ensuring all activities are carried out with safety, quality and environmental considerations.

**Requirements**

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in water and/or sewer operations, maintenance and/or construction.
  • Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to supervise small teams.
  • Proven Word processing/spreadsheet/database operating skills.
