
Clinical Care Specialist

Clinical Nurse Consultants are integral members of our multidisciplinary team, providing expert advice and support to patients, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They play a pivotal role in the management of deteriorating patients, ensuring timely intervention and optimal patient outcomes.
The CNC will work closely with clinicians and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective care plans, leveraging their expertise in general medicine, perioperative services, and hand/eye surgery. This includes participating in multidisciplinary mortality and morbidity meetings, as well as undertaking patient case reviews with appropriate clinicians.
In this critical role, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will also exercise extended clinical knowledge, skills, and judgement in acute/chronic general medical care, ensuring best practice and acting as a resource person for their colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and current NSW Driver's Licence
- At least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty field
- Approved postgraduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field
- Demonstrated ability to apply clinical expertise in a consultant role and work independently
- Proven clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework
