About the Role

This is a site-based DIDO/FIFO role located at Western Downs near Chinchilla, QLD. As a Senior Project Engineer - Electrical, you will be responsible for conceptual and detailed engineering for HV substations, solar, battery, and electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project forecasting and constructability assessments.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams.
  • Review electrical works, test sheets, and approve ITPs upon completion.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with UGL's Management System documentation.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Strong background in HV electrical systems or renewable/utility projects.
  • Experience in supervising technical teams.
  • A proactive approach to improving performance, deliverables, and work efficiency.
