We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our Catering team at Catholic Healthcare.

About the Role

As a Culinary Expert, you will be responsible for preparing fresh and nutritious meals for our residents, taking into account their dietary needs. This role involves managing all resources within the kitchen, including equipment and food supplies, within an approved budget.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing high-quality meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents
  • Managing kitchen resources effectively to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment that meets the highest standards of quality and safety
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
What We Offer

Catholic Healthcare offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $35.22 per hour, plus casual loading and superannuation. Other benefits include:
