About the Role

Austin Health is seeking a Clinical Psychology Registrar to join our team in a part-time, fixed-term position. As a Clinical Psychology Registrar, you will work across two rotations in the oncology and inpatient rehabilitation wards, providing psychological interventions to outpatients and inpatients with a range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to patients with health issues, including cancer and chronic medical conditions.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver psychological care to patients.
  • Adopt a flexible approach to clinical caseload management and the provision of care.
Requirements
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement (or working towards endorsement) as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Interest in working within multidisciplinary teams and gaining experience working within acute, subacute and rehabilitative general health clinical settings.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions with patients.
  • High level interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and engagement.
