Job Title: Decorative Finisher

We are seeking an experienced Decorative Finisher to join our organization in a rewarding role that combines creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality decorative finishes to facilities, enhancing comfort and safety for residents, staff, and visitors. This involves a range of tasks including internal and external painting, surface preparation, and furniture protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply paint and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces to a high standard.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by repairing plaster, sanding, and setting.
  • Protect furniture and property from damage during the painting process.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to workplace health and safety standards and infection control protocols.
  • Manage tools and materials effectively.
  • Work independently and manage time efficiently while prioritizing quality.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in painting or a related field (with at least 2 years' post-qualification experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in painting techniques, surface preparation, and safety practices.
  • Able to work autonomously and manage multiple projects efficiently.
  • Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as moving furniture and using ladders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current National Police Clearance and up-to-date COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations.
