We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Energy Storage Strategy Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical part in shaping our storage development strategy.

This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to initiate and augment storage development and strategy across multiple markets. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our renewable energy projects.

  • You will lead the formulation and implementation of regional market strategies for standalone and hybrid storage.
  • Your analytical skills will be valuable in contributing to the development and optimization of storage-related revenue tools.
  • You will inform site selection and greenfield development within select regional markets.
  • You will contribute to policy initiatives related to storage in strategic company markets.
  • You will augment our storage technology and procurement strategy to meet evolving commercial and development needs.
  • You will support project development teams in advancing hybrid and standalone storage projects.
  • You will work closely with development teams on the valuation and acquisition of storage/solar assets.
  • You will assist in structuring and negotiating storage services within PPA/off-take agreements.

Qualifications & Expertise:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification is essential.
  • You should have at least 5 years of experience in storage project development and storage/renewables strategy.
  • You should have experience working with utilities, Independent power producers (IPPs), EPCs, developers, and integrators.
  • You should have a solid understanding of battery revenue streams and valuation.
  • You should have experience signing and negotiating PPA offtake agreements with substantial storage components.
  • You should possess strong commercial experience in transaction execution, valuation, and due diligence.
  • You should demonstrate proven commercial and negotiation skills, supported by strong commercial skill sets.
  • You should have excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • You should be credible and confident in interacting effectively with senior people inside and outside the organization.
