Senior Mechanic Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mechanic to join our team. As a Senior Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and routine inspections on our e-scooter fleet.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working with light vehicles or electrical systems, formal qualifications in automotive mechanics, and excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. They must also have a strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

As a Senior Mechanic, you will be responsible for leading by example, working alongside our mechanics, and ensuring that our warehouse is operating efficiently and safely. You will also be required to streamline warehouse and repair processes, spearhead the growth of our company, and contribute to other launch initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and people skills, as well as a keen curiosity in shared mobility and a growth mindset.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on e-scooters and e-bikes.
  • Conduct regular assurance checks to ensure all units meet safety and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
  • Document completed work and maintain accurate service records.
  • Collaborate with the broader operations team to ensure timely deployment of serviced vehicles.
  • Develop and execute our Warehouse Management strategy.
  • Ensure the Warehouse team performs quality control and basic maintenance on the e-scooters.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks, such as shift scheduling, manpower deployment, and inventory management.
  • Planning for and conducting monthly (or as required) stocktakes.
  • Train new e-scooter mechanics and conduct any refresher training as necessary.
  • Responsible for the Workshop KPI's.
  • Represent us as a positive brand ambassador.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience working with light vehicles or electrical systems.
  • Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • A valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, and manoeuvre items weighing 28-35kg.
  • A suitable personal smartphone.
  • Prior experience in stock planning and management.
  • A hands-on approach to leadership.
  • A process-driven mentality.
  • Flexible work schedule with the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A keen curiosity in shared mobility and a growth mindset.
